A scraper of probable Neolithic date, 4000 - 2350 BC. The scraper is formed from a secondary flake. There is a small amount of cortex remaining at the proximal end, where there is the striking platform. The flake is mottled grey in colour. On the dorsal face there is semi-abrupt, semi-parallel extensive retouch at the distil end. A flake has been removed towards the right mesal, to facilitate holding the scraper between the thumb and the first index finger. The ventral face is smooth with a low bulb of percussion. Length: 26.6mm, Width: 19.5mm and Thickness: 7.1mm. Weight: 5.2gm

Dark grey flint with possibly re-former cortex, possibly collected from the East Coast; scraper. An oval flake with broad flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a convex ventral surface. Short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows the curving edge, with the area of cortex retained as a butt. A fresh grey tint to the flint may suggest this object has recently been disturbed from a sealed context. Suggested date: Neolithic, 4000-2350 BC. Length: 28.9mm, Width: 27.5mm, Thickness: 8.8mm, Weight: 9.01gms

Flint possible scraper. A trapezoid flake with broad parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a lightly convex ventral surface. An angled wedge-shaped end was perhaps formed by hard hammer strike executed from the dorsal aspect, and the grooves formed by the initial working may have afforded a thumb rest were this a working face. Dense creamy patina suggests the object has endured prolonged exposure to a calcareous environment. It has subsequently been water-rolled. Suggested date: Neolithic, 4000-2350 BC Length: 69mm, Width: 36.4mm, Thickness: 12.3mm, Weight: 37.00gms

Flint possible debitage. A small flake with broad parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a flat ventral surface. Dense creamy patina and light orange staining may suggest the object has endured prolonged exposure to a calcareous environment, possibly followed by its incorporation into gravels. Flint possible scraper. A flake with broad and narrow parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side, a positive hinge fracture at its narrower end, and with a slightly concave ventral surface. Short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows one end edge. Subsequently chipped around its edges. Dense creamy patina and light orange staining may suggest the object has endured prolonged exposure to a calcareous environment, possibly followed by its incorporation into gravels. Flint scraper. A small irregular flake with broad and narrow parallel flakes struck from its dorsal side, and with a bulbar ventral surface. Short abrupt retouch executed from the ventral aspect forms a curving lightly hollowed edge on one side, with similar treatment of a shorter adjacent side. A dense creamy patina suggest the object has subsequently endured prolonged exposure to a calcareous environment, while light orange spotting may hint at its subsequent incorporation into gravels. Flint possible debitage. Two small struck flints, both with broad and narrow parallel flakes struck from their dorsal sides; the larger has long parallel flakes struck from its ventral side; the smaller has a flat irregular ventral surface, probably weathered. Both bear a dense creamy patina suggesting they have endured long exposure to a calcareous environment. Suggested date: Neolithic, 4000-2350 BC Combined Weight: 17.69gms
