A retouched flint flake of suggested middle Neolithic to early Bronze Age date c. 3300-1000 BC.  The secondary flake is elongated and sub-triangular in plan and cross-section; a small section of cortex surviving at the distal edge which has a chip at the terminal with fresh breaks suggesting more recent damage. The ventral surface is slightly concave with a pronounced bulb of percussion and raised rippling suggested hard hammer working. The dorsal surface has five removal scars with crude removals at the proximal end, possibly damage, but some finer …

The ventral face has a bulb of percussion at one end and concentric ripples down the surface. The dorsal face is convex and has short, scaled and abrupt retouch on one of the two edges of the pointing end. The platform of percussion and one side have still an off white cortex (7%). A flint retouched flake of possible Neolithic or Bronze Age date, about 4000 BC - 1000 BC. It is roughly oval and is formed on a tertiary flake of mottled opaque yellow grey flint. It is lightly patinated. The distal right edge has retouch which is short, abrupt and sub-parallel. It is also patinated. At the distal left side is a smaller area of retouch which is short, scaled and semi-abrupt. This retouch interrupts the patina. It is 33mm long, 18.9mm wide and 5.3mm thick. It weighs 2.62g.

A group of three flint flakes dating to the late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age, c. 3300-1600 BC. All three flints show some signs of working after their initial removal. They are all of the same dark grey flint, but their surfaces have been affected by different processes after working. Flake 1 is discoidal in plan and D-shaped in cross section, a secondary flake with a large amount of the creamy white cortex retained. It has several small removals from the dorsal face, but the ventral face is much affected by burning, with the entire surface marked by crazing. It is 29.1mm …

A retouched secondary flint flake dating to 4000 BC - 2350 BC. Sub-oval in shape, the flint is semi-opaque, mid-beige and has a mid-gloss patina, surfaces are covered in a smooth, thin, speckled layer of re-patination with areas of reddish brown ferrous staining mainly to flake scar ridges. A very small amount of cortex remains on the right side margin. The dorsal face shows a large broad flake removal scar across the centre and crude, scaled retouch to 75% of sides. The ventral face shows a fairly prominent bulb of percussion and large bulbar scar indicating probable use of a hard ha…

Sub-oval in shape, the flint is semi-opaque, mottled grey and has a low-gloss patina, most surfaces are covered in a smooth, thin, speckled layer of re-patination. Thick nodular cortex remains across the steep right side margin showing through to the left side margin. The left margin of the dorsal face shows crude fairly invasive, scaled, low-angle retouch. The ventral face shows a prominent bulb of percussion with rippling at the distal end indicating probable use of a hard hammer. The distal end terminates in a hinge fra…

Neolithic retouched flint flake. Mid-brown opaque patina. Tertiary flake. Small amount of retouch (semi-abrupt, sub-parallel) on the flake's distal end and a small, possibly intentional, notch on the right edge. This could be another example of a rudimentary, ad hoc arrowhead as seen in the Massey assemblage but it is not possible to be certain.

A retouched flint flake of the Neolithic to early Bronze Age period, dating to 4500-1500 BC. It is a secondary flake, which has been manufactured from a darkish grey flint core. The flake has a sub-rectangular shape in plan and still retains a cream coloured cortex on the lower edge. The ventral face has a bulb of percussion close to the flat platform of percussion, which retains a yellowish patina; around the bulb there are concentric ripples. The dorsal face has a longitudinal slightly curved ridge defining a concave and a flat side. Only the upper part of one edge bears short paral…

Neolithic retouched flint flake. Light greyish-brown and cream opaque patina. A short, wide tertiary flake, retouched on the distal end (inverse, short, semi-abrupt, sub-parallel) and abruptly flaked on both laterals.
