Complete end scraper of conventional form; made from a secondary, hard hammer struck flake of glossy black flint with some inclusions, steeply retouched at the distal end to form the semi-circular scraping edge, small patch of sandy coloured thin cortex extant to one lateral side, showing the outside curve of the flint nodule this was struck from. A very useful tool in the initial preparation of fresh hides for tanning, effective in removing the subcutaneous fat from just below the surface of the skin. Neolithic, 4,000 to 2,350 BC.

A complete Neolithic endscraper dating to c. 4000-2400 BC. The end scraper is made from a tertiary flake of flint that is a matte light brown sometimes semi-glossy medium brown semi-translucent flint. It is broadly recyangular in plan and trapezoidal in cross section the ventral surface being wider than the dorsal surface. A scraper struck from a dark brown flint, 49mm in length, probably of Neolithic date. The scraper is semi-circular and there is semi-abrupt parallel retouch, most noticeably on one side. The dorsal surface and proximal end retain patches of cortex with no evidence for a prepared striking platform. The surface demonstrates water polish.

A flint end scraper of likely Mesolithic date, dating to c.9000-3450 BC. Description: The flint is rectangular in plan and triangular in one cross section. and ovoid in the other. This is due to the ridge running along the body of the scraper, with either side sloping away from it to obverse edges with  short, stepped and low-angle retouch.
