Elongated, tertiary long blade, of mottled mid-grey flint now patinated a sandy yellow colour with a patch towards the proximal end that appears to be unpatinated. Several small chips to the thin edges are recent damage, also showing the original colour of the flint. The high points to the flake scars are abraded, these show an off-white, almost powdery patination below. Proximal end and platform absent; broken at an angle in antiquity. A fragment of Mesolithic flint blade, dating to c.AD 7000 - 2500 BC. The blade is made from a secondary flake of mid brown flint, the patination has mottled to a a pale brown on the outer edges. A small area of cortex remains it has a creamy patination. Small areas of retouch are visible along the edge. Length: 25.6 mm, Width: 17.8 mm, Thickness: 4.3 mm, Weight: 2.09 g

An incomplete retouched blade of probable Neolithic date, made from a light grey-brown flint. Only the proximal end remains; this has short abrupt scaled retouch down one or possibly both sides, perhaps suggesting that original tool was a backed blade or side scraper. The blub of percussion has been reduced on the ventral surface with long, low angle retouch.

Dark grey-brown flint blade. A thick sub-triangular flake with broad flakes struck from its dorsal side and with a bulbar ventral surface with smaller flakes struck by hard hammer working from the ventral aspect. Very short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect follows one long straight edge, possibly forming a knife on whose cutting edge pressure might be brought to bear with the user’s thumb resting in the dorsal concave surface. Core rejuvenation blade, most likely to be of Neolithic date (c. 4000-2500BC). Made of flint. Length = 79.0mm; width = 28.0mm; thickness – 15.0mm; weight = 25.3g. The blade is struck from a blade core with the intention to refresh the striking platform of the core to enable further blades to be removed from it. Blades from such a core could have been retouched and made into scrapers, knives, or other tools.
