An incomplete copper-alloy strap fitting of Roman date, c.AD 100 - 300. The object comprises a circular plate with a convex upper surface and flat reverse resulting in a D-shaped section. The front of the plate is decorated with a recessed ring around a raised central dome. Twelve (12) sub-rectangular recessed cells encircle the ring. Half of the cells retain red enamel. A complete copper-alloy strap fitting of medieval date, c.AD 1100-1500. The fitting comprises a rectangular sheet of metal folded transversely to create an upper and lower plate. A single copper-alloy rivet remains centrally at the attachment end of the sheet. Both plates appear undecorated. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The fitting is 25.4mm long, 11mm wide, 3.9mm thick and weighs 2.3g. The lack of a pin slot suggests this is object is not a buckle plate but rather for another strap fitting such as YORYM-AF13C3.

A second loop is extremely worn though remains complete. The object is flat and undecorated. The object is 17.9mm long, 15.2mm wide, 1.8mm thick and weighs 1.1g. The object is probably the attachment loop for a strap fitting for a 17th century sword belt, as demonstrated by complete examples recorded on the PAS database WILT-FF39E4, HAMP-21BFA1, HAMP-2217E4.
