A complete copper-alloy finger ring, of probable late Iron Age to Roman date, c.50 BC - 300 AD. The ring is cast in one piece and is relatively uniform in diameter with a broadly D-shaped cross section. The outer surface of the ring is decorated with a single groove which divides the ring, resulting in a coil effect. The interior surface of the ring is smooth and undecorated. The object is sub-rectangular, flaring widely to the cutting edge and rounded to the butt end. One side expands to forma semi-circular loop. The object is undecorated. The metal has a mid-green patina and is in fair condition. The axehead is 16.2mm long, 17.5mm wide, 4.8mm thick and weighs 3.1g. The blade is a pointed leaf shape, tapering gently from rounded shoulders to a narrow shaft which terminates in a worn break.
