An incomplete copper-alloy harness junction that dates to the early medieval period (c. 11th century).  It has broken at one end off a boss, and may have once been a double-ended junction from harness strapping. As an alternative, this could be the attachment loop of a small bridle bit. The boss is broadly in the form of a domed oval, with a concavity on the reverse. An incomplete, heavily worn fragment of a cast Bronze Age copper-alloy palstave axehead, probably of Middle Bronze Age date c. 1600-900 cal BC. The fragment consists of the axe's blade above which is a worn and abraded termination. The axe fragment is broadly trapezoidal.
