Two convex sheets: octagonal width 14mm, with roughly engraved rosette in linear border, and round diameter 15 mm; joined by rod, length 7mm; weakly stamped maker's mark (??)OD, in incised double-line border. The item is silver but likely to date from the (?)early/mid 18th-century, and almost certainly post-1709. It is therefore too late in date to qualify as Treasure.

Silver finial in the form of a pine cone, broken off at the base, where it would have joined onto another element. It has been suggested that this may be a knop from a spoon. If this is so, the best comparison known to me is a spoon with enamelled bowl in the British Museum, P&E 1899, 12-9,3, inscribed AVE MARIA, which has been dated to the late 15th Century. An incomplete copper-alloy Colchester one piece type brooch, dating c.25-60AD. The bow has a circular cross-section. Wings extend out from the bow on each side by 2.23mm. No catch plate survives. The start of a pin and hook only survive for a length of 4.00mm. Dimensions: length 58mm, bow width 4.17mm tapering to 1.35mm, wings are 3.10mm wide and 1.35mm thick, weight 2.72g. This brooch is suffering considerably from corrosion.

A copper-alloy strip from a Roman bracelet that has been cut down to form a small finger-ring. The strip has a rectangular cross-section. Weight is 1.49g, width 5.82mm narrowing to 5.30mm. Length 38mm now bent round into a 'C' shape. The outer surface at the widest end is decorated with criss-crossed incised lines for a length of 8.64mm. A copper-alloy buckle plate of early Anglo-Saxon date, late sixth or early seventh century. It is of Marzinzik's type II.23b-ii, buckle with triangular copper-alloy plate, and has a triangular aperture in the centre. An iron padlock complete with shackle. In Geoff Egan's opinion it is most likely to be of relatively recent date, probably 18th century or early 19th century. The padlock is an irregular cylinder, being shorter on the outer edge and longer on the inner edge. The maximum length is 105.55mm, minimum length 83.57mm, diameter of case minimum 34.07mm, maximum 40.03mm. The arm or shackle pivots from a sub-oval plate which has a thickness of 5.12mm, is 55.17mm long and 32.65mm wide. It has a 'C' shaped cross-section and a curved length of 226.0mm. A complete cast copper-alloy winged chape of Rieth's Barriere (Indres) type dating from the Early Iron Age that is c. 800-600BC (Rieth 1942; Gerloff 2004, fig. 17.9.1). The chape is almost complete and in very good condition. Only the outer tips of the wings are missing. It has a smooth surface with no visible damage or corrosion. The artefact has two long swept-back wings and is hollow in the centre. A gold iconographic finger-ring of 15th to early 16th century date. An early Anglo-Saxon copper-alloy disc brooch of a type referred to as 'jewelled' or 'keystone garnet'. The brooch is now corroded and the details are hard to see clearly. The edge of the brooch is smooth and undecorated creating a border 4.06mm wide. Next to the border is a narrow groove c.0.68mm wide followed by a band c.0.91mm wide. At the centre of the brooch is a raised field of 9.20mm diameter which is filled with white material.
