Cast copper alloy spearhead tip, probably of Late Bronze Age date, that is c. 1000-800BC. Only the tip with part of the socket remains. This fragment weighs 6.62g, has an incomplete length of 30.27mm, width of 17.94mm tapering to a point. The fragment has a maximum thickness of 6.42mm and a lozenge shaped cross-section.

A Medieval silver twisted-wire annular brooch, consisting of a twisted rope work design comprising four raised strands and four smaller incised strands. The pattern terminates at a plain section of hoop for the attachment of a pin, now missing. Although decorated with raised beading in addition to a twisted design, see Egan and Pritchard 1991, Nos. 1325 and 1334 for comparables. Also, G.Bailey, Buttons and Fasteners 500 BC- AD 1840,(2004), p.105, fig. 13.16 and p. 110, fig. 3.53. The brooch dates from the 13th century. Dimensions: diameter 18.3 mm, depth 1.1 mm.

Description: Double-sided mount made from two similar thick niello-inlaid rectangular silver plates. The short edges are shaped, each around two rivets with a point between the two; all four separate silver rivets survive, three with circular heads at one end of 3mm diameter. The artifact is made of a flattened silver sheet, which is twisted along its length, with a rounded edge at one end and an acorn terminal at the other. On the exterior of the hoop, within two incised bands, are the following letters: S A N I R P The S, R and P are all retrograde. The significance of the letters is not clear. An incomplete copper-alloy zoomorphic plate brooch in the form of a fish, of Roman, second century AD date. The upper surface has been inlaid with blue enamel. The brooch has an incomplete length of 30.02mm with the tail having broken off leaving an irregular transverse break. The brooch is likely to have been cast. Depressed fields are present on the upper surface to become cells to contain the inlaid enamel. A small circular setting comprising a small deep-red cabochon stone, possibly a garnet, set within a collet formed of flat silver strip. A slight vertical gap is visible where the two ends of the collar presumably butt together. The stone's diameter is 2.6mm and its height is 2.8mm. The silver collet has an external diameter of 3.6mm and is 1.7mm high. The setting has a wire collar with closely-set thin and shallow grooves cut into it in order to create the appearance of a twisted wire. An incomplete fragment of a copper-alloy (bronze) flanged axe or possibly a palstave of late Early Bronze Age or Middle Bronze Age date (2000-1500 BC). The fragment is rectangular in plan and broadly H shaped in cross section. An incomplete barbed and tanged flint arrowhead of Early to Middle Bronze Age date 2400-1001 BC. The tip of one barb has broken off. Other smaller areas have also suffered some damage with the extreme tip of the arrowhead being absent, a notch being present in one edge a short distance below the tip and slight dammage to the base of the tang. This artefact has an asymmetrical cross section with one surface being flatter than the other to form a sub-triangular shape.
