A copper alloy zoomorphic brooch dating to the second century AD. The brooch is in the shape of a leopard. It comprises a flat D sectioned plate representing the body of the animal. The upper surface of the plate possesses two rows of circular cells, five of which contain blue enamel. Extending below the body are the worn remains of a back leg and two front legs. A corroded iron barb-spring (or barrel) padlock fragment comprising a flat disc with two sub-rectangular bumps visible on one surface. These are the ends of the spines (which support the springs), fixed through the end-plate of the bolt. The fragment measures 37mm in diameter and 5mm in thickness. Similar examples at Winchester come from contexts of the late 10th to 16th centuries.

An incomplete iron barb-spring (or barrel) padlock. The fragment comprises the flat, circular end plate. A flat, round-ended plate extends at right angles from the end plate; this is the spine of one of the springs. A rectangular-section scar is also visible, probably where another spine has broken away. The fragment has a diameter of 34mm and a maximum thickness of 30mm. Similar examples at Winchester come from contexts of the late 10th to 16th centuries.

A copper alloy rumbler bell dating to the fourteenth or fifteenth centuries AD. It may have been attached to clothing or horse harness. The bell comprises a sheet attachment loop with circular perforation. This extends to an oval bell comprising four sheet lobes. The pea is in place. Remnants of gilding are visible on the bell and its attachment loop. The bell measures 21mm in length and a maximum of 11mm in width.

A fragment of a late Bronze Age socketed axehead dated from 1000-800 BC. The lower portion of the axe shows signs of been re-sharpened on one edge, and re-used in antiquity. This may of given rise to the inbalance and curved nature of the cutting edge. Cutting edge very fine and sharp. Width across cutting edge: 47.38 mm. Length from broken edge to cutting edge: 33.72. Thickness across broken edges 13.33 mm, 10.87 mm. Width across fractured edge: 30.73.

Circular copper-alloy brooch, 24 mm in diameter, with a raised border decorated with closely spaced transverse nicks. Neatly filling most of the sunken centre is a backward-looking animal in counter-relief, with four legs, a long neck and a large tail curled over the back. No details appear to have been added to the animal - there is no eye or mane - but the brooch is quite worn, and so these may have once been present. A late Iron Age to Roman miniature terret ring. The undecorated ring is not circular and has an outer diameter of 16.58 mm and an internal diameter of 8.33 mm. It shows some slight signs of wear around the inside edge. Terret rings such as this are possibly associated with horse harness, sword belts, belts or they may have some other utilitarian use.

A Roman Colchester derivative brooch of double lug type. The spring is secured by passing the external chord and the axial bar through a lug with two perforations behind the head. The side wings are semi cylindrical. The forward hook of type 90 can still be seen in the crest which runs on a flat ridge down the head towards the bow, flanked by cavetto mouldings, and maybe decorated in various ways. A long cross penny of Edward II c. 1312- 1314 AD, Class 11b3 [Ed.11b] Most of the pennies of Edward 11, are very similar to Edward 1st. stylelistically the two reignes are also similar, with virtually identical reverses and minor differences on the obverse. A pale green monochrome glass bead, probably dating to the early Anglo-Saxon period. The bead is cylindrical in shape with a circular perforation. The bead has a length of 6mm and a diameter of 8mm. The bead is similar to some found in early Anglo-Saxon inhumation burials at Barrington in Cambridgeshire (e.g. Malim and Hines 1998, fig. 3.32, no. 63; also see p. 207-9), but small green glass beads are also known from other periods (e.g. Roman, medieval and post-medieval).
