A heavily clipped silver Roman siliqua of the House of Theodosius, dating to the period c.AD 395-402 (Reece period 21). VIRTVS ROMANORVM reverse type depicting Roma seated left on cuirass holding Victory and vertical sceptre. Mint of Milan. RIC X nos. 1227/1228; Hoxne no. 737. Clipping (CF 4) has removed the legends on both faces.
