A copper-alloy radiate, a contemporary copy, of Carausius (AD 286-293 (Reece period 14). Reverse legend reads [PAX]/AVG. Reverse shows Pax standing left holding branch and vertical sceptre. Mintmark: [ ] O//[ ], probably based on F O //ML type of London - See RIC V, pt.2, p. 472, 101 for general type. Obverse legend reads IMP CARAV[SIVS ... ] (AV?). Obverse shows a radiate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Die axis is 12 o'clock. Weight is 4.02g, diameter is 21.0mm, thickness is 2.7mm. This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.
