A fragmentary silver artefact, probably part of an early medieval pin. The object comprises the lower portion of the pinhead, the rest lost to a worn and irregular break. The surviving portion of the plate measures approximately 3.2mm to either side of the shaft, and has a curved edge suggesting that the pinhead was originally circular.
