A plain silver annular brooch of thirteenth to fourteenth century date weighing 1.96g. The once circular frame has a transverse break just to the side of where the pin rests against the frame. The two ends now overlap each other by 2.82mm which results in the frame now being oval in shape with the outer diameter measurements of 24.00mm x 20.96mm. Description: Double-sided mount made from two similar thick niello-inlaid rectangular silver plates. The short edges are shaped, each around two rivets with a point between the two; all four separate silver rivets survive, three with circular heads at one end of 3mm diameter. Strangely, these expanded heads are set two on one face (in diagonally opposite corners) and one on the other face; the opposite ends are only 2mm in diameter and are flat. Description: Silver object inlaid with niello. It is a long oval in shape and made from two components, a sheet silver base and a heavy hollow-cast upper part. The upper part is D-shaped in cross-section, and has relief, engraved and inlaid decoration. To either end is an animal head, both identical. The snouts have narrow rounded ends with a pair of dots for nostrils; these may originally have been set with glass pellets, similar to but smaller than those in the eyes. A Medieval silver gilt brooch. The brooch is missing its pin and has one fragment detached. The brooch is roughly oval in shape and tapers slightly to a point where two hands protrude from the brooch frame. The frame itself has a flat reverse and bevelled upper surface, giving an angled 'D' ('>') shaped section, with a collarred pin recess, measuring c.2.37mm in width. A brooch which has been been constructed using a Medieval Silver hammered coin; a "canopy" type penny of William I dating to 1070-2. North 843. The coin has been gilded on the reverse which has become the front of the brooch. The obverse of the coin which has been used as the back of the brooch shows a two column canopy covering a crowned and diademed bust facing with the face of the King and canopy still visible. A silver early Post-Medieval vervel. This artefact weighs 1.67g. It is formed from a rectangular length of silver that has been curved round to form a circular loop, that has since been squashed slightly into a sub-circular loop. The strip has a sub-rectangular cross-section, having flat interior and external surfaces and slightly convexly curved edges.
