The find consists of a rhomboidal fragment of strip of roughly rectangular section which has been cut at both ends. Surface metal analysis conducted at the British Museum identified the metal as brass, with no detectable precious metal. It is therefore not defined as Treasure under the terms of the Act.

Bronze object, with one end pointed and round section. At other end rapidly turning to "square" section with small nick in one edge. A groove runs around four sites 2.5mm from the "square" end, which itself measures 5 x 3mm. Date unknown, probably ancient.

A copper-alloy ring, of uncertain function and date. The ring is a very slightly irregular circle, and is circular in cross-section with slightly flattened upper and lower surface which might not be intentional but a result of wear or manufacture. Its upper surface has been decorated with thirty-three stamped punch marks of annulets. All other surfaces of the frame are undecorated. Weight is 5.13g, external diameter is 28.16mm, internal diameter 21.29mm, thickness is 3.48mm. Probably a chisel of Bronze Age date weighing 18.2g. This artefact has a sub-triangular shape, its thin leading edge having a width of 32.1mm and a rectangular cross-section. As the sides taper in the artefact increases in thickness. This sub-triangular plate or blade has a length of 31.8mm and at the apex the thickness has expanded to a maximum 6.4mm. The artefact has a total length of 39.3mm. Above and to the side of the apex the artefact expands and takes on a lozenge shaped cross-section of 7.7mm width and 7.5mm thickness.
