GLORIA EXERCITVS / VICTORIAE DD NN AVGGQ NN Obverse - Diad, Draped Cuir, bust to right. Reverse - Two Victories standing facing each other. - Two soldiers standing either side of one standard. Diam - 14.05 mm Weight - 0.90 g This is possibly a forgery.

A Late Iron Age or Roman (c.300 BC - AD 410) blue glass bead with white detail meandering across the external surface in gently recurving irregular loops. This bead is circular in shape with flattened, althoough not parallel to each other, upper and lower edges. It has a D-shaped cross section formed by convex outer edges and straight vertical edges to the perforation through the approximate centre of the bead. The bead has a diameter of 14.6mm, height or thickness of 7.4mm and weighs 1.74g. The perforation through the bead is circular and has a diameter of 6.7mm. The white decoration…

A silver Roman finger-ring with setting surviving within bezel. A heavy gem-set silver finger-ring with a circular hoop, broad oval bezel and prominent swollen shoulders. The hoop edges, now rather damaged, are enhanced with a beaded rib moulding and there is a simple moulded swag on each shoulder. The dark blue glass gem, in an oval rubbed-over setting, has bevelled sides and a flat top in which is a worn incuse image of a ?standing figure. Date: 3rd - 4th century AD. Dimensions: W. 25.7 mm. Ht. 25.4 mm. Bezel W. 16.3 mm. Internal 16.8 - 17.2 mm. Weight: 13.88 g.
