RIC II, p. 263, No 269. Obverse shows laureate head right. Obverse legend reads IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P [CO]S VI P P. Die axis is 6 o'clock. Weight is 2.96g, diameter is 19.7mm. A silver plated copper-alloy contemporary copy of a denarius of Trajan, AD98-117 (Reece period 5). This coin is copying a coin minted in Rome, post AD103. Reverse fields and exergue read: / //DAC CAP. Reverse legend reads COS V PP (S P Q R OPTIMO PRINC). See RIC II, p.250, c.f.no.96. Obverse shows laureate bust right. Reverse shows Dacian seated right on arms. Condition is very fine. Die axis is c.9 o'clock, weight is 2.36g, diameter is 19.27mm.
