Fragment of a copper alloy Roman finger ring of keeled type, decorated with pellets on the circular bezel and pellets in ellipses on the shoulders. Traces of tinning remain.

A silver Roman finger-ring with setting surviving within bezel.
A heavy gem-set silver finger-ring with a circular hoop, broad oval bezel and prominent swollen shoulders. The hoop edges, now rather damaged, are enhanced with a beaded rib moulding and there is a simple moulded swag on each shoulder. The dark blue glass gem, in an oval rubbed-over setting, has bevelled sides and a flat top in which is a worn incuse image of a ?standing figure.
Date: 3rd - 4th century AD.
Dimensions: W. 25.7 mm. Ht. 25.4 mm. Bezel W. 16.3 mm. Internal 16.8 - 17.2 mm. Weight: 13.88 g.
