An Early to Middle Neolithic polished stone axehead dating c. 4000-3300 BC. This axehead has a pointed-oval cross section. One side edge has a slight flattened lateral facet, the opposing side edge having a subtler flattened lateral facet that could easily be missed during a very quick examination of this artefact thus giving the impression of a lateral rounded-pointed edge. The artefact weighs 290.74g, has a length of 126.5mm, maximum width of 60.5mm and maximum thickness of 31.7mm. An incomplete fragment of polished Neolithic axehead. This axehead has been broken in half along the linial profile so that only one side of the profile survives. The axehead has also been broken transversely to the butt-end and blade-end. This means that the original shape and cross-sectional shape and profile shape of the artefact has been lost. At least one hinge fracture is present. Damage is also present along both edges.

A small partially polished stone axehead of Neolithic date. The cross-section is oval. The weight is 172.06g, length is 99.8mm, maximum width is 41.0mm and maximum thickness is 29.6mm. This axehead is a greenstone, similar to Cornish greenstone although full scientific analysis would need to be conducted to determine this conclusively. The stone would have been pecked into shape before a half-hearted attempt to polish the the stone to the finished product.
