Late Iron Age or early Roman copper alloy centre-looped cosmetic mortar. This object is the base and an upward curving top part, similar in shape for grinding the minerals held in the lower part. The object consists of an upward curving base with the remains of a loop underneath for holding the object. The interior of the object is hollow for holding the minerals to be ground. The surface of the object is pitted with a light green patina and is generally in poor condition. Length: 55.61; width: 10.35mm; thickness: 2.93mm; weight: 19.51g

A Late Iron Age to early Roman cast copper alloy centre-looped cosmetic mortar ("woad grinder"). The object compromises of a deep longitudinal groove/dish which is wide in the centre and tapers to a point at either end; both terminating in a rounded knop measuring c.4.90mm in diameter. There is an incomplete circular loop projecting from the centre of the underside; measuring 10.40mm external diameter, 6.98mm internal diameter and has a thickness of 2.18mm.
