A fragment of a copper-alloy buckle plate dating to the Roman period. The fragment comprises the attachment end, with three D-sectioned hinge loops. The loops are decorated with longitudinal grooves around their outer ends, and have circular perforations obscured and filled with iron corrosion from a separate bar onto which the pin and buckle frame would originally have been hinged. A corroded fragment of an early Roman copper alloy bracelet. The fragment comprises a rectangular sheet of copper alloy which appears to have been deliberately cut into this shape for re-use rather than broken. It possesses a shallow curve. The upper surface of the fragment is decorated with marginal grooves flanking four transverse rows of mouldings. The lower surface is plain and heavily corroded. It has a length of 19mm and a width of 14mm. The fragment is similar to No. 1586 from Colchester [Crummy, 1983, 37]

A copper alloy zoomorphic brooch in the form of a swimming duck, dating to the 2nd to mid 3rd century AD. The body of the brooch is oval in plan and convex in section. Remnants of white metal coating survive on its upper surface. The neck and head of the duck, represented by an oval sectioned extension, protrude from one end and is broken. There are two C-shaped grooves on the body of the brooch representing wings and a circular sectioned cell at the tip of the tail. These would have originally contained enamel. A fragment of a cast copper alloy sceptre or staff handle dating to the Roman period. The fragment comprises a circular section hollow tube, encircled at the mid point by a prominent lentoidal rib. The handle has a present length of 54mm. At the mid point the diameter is 26mm. Elsewhere it measures 14mm. It is similar to an example identified as a Roman sceptre from Wanborough, Surrey (Surrey report. SyAC82. Sceptre handle no28).

A copper alloy Nertomarus type Langton Down brooch dating to the first century AD. The head of the brooch has been flattened but originally comprised hollow semi-circular wings with a central cast motif of an inverted triangle. The triangle itself is decorated with three moulded dots. Either side of the triangle is a plain, diagonal decorative ridge. Where the head of the brooch meets the top of the bow, there is a transverse ridge. The bow itself is D shaped in section and tapers towards the foot, which is broken.
