A perforated worked stone artefact probably/possibly a mace of Early Mesolithic to Neolithic date. The artefact is a rounded pebble, oval in plan with a length of 49.11mm and width of 37.65mm. Through the, approximate, centre of the stone is a circular perforation that has been worked from both sides towards the centre. The perforation has differing diameters on either side and both sides of the perforation taper in towards the centre. A stone perforated mace head of late Mesolithic or early Neolithic date. The mace head is ovoid in shape and the perforation is hour glass shaped in section. The mace head is 118mm long and 82mm wide at its widest, it is 29mm thick.
