A lead seal matrix dating to the thirteenth century AD. The seal is flat and circular. The face of the matrix comprises of a central flower of six petals and a cicumferential legend which reads +S' HALFREDI F' HVGON (The seal of Alfred, son of Hugo). On the reverse of the seal is a moulded lug in the form of a fleur-de-lis. The seal matrix measures 34mm in diameter and 8mm in thickness.

A copper alloy clothes fastener, dating to the early Post-Medieval period. The fastener comprises an elongated flat semi-circular plate with a perforated lug at the apex and two further for perforated lugs on each side. At the base is a rectangular attachment loop. The upper surface of the plate is tinned and decorated with marginal rows of circular stamps and two rows of larger stamped circles flanking two longitudinal grooves. The strap end comprises a flat plate, the upper surface of which is decorated with a series of incised triangles filled with niello. At the attachment end the plate splits in two to accommodate the strap; there are two rivet holes with iron rivets in situ. The terminal is zoomorphic with eyes and ears rendered as cast decoration. The strap end measures 40mm in length and 7mm in width. At the attachment end it has a thickness of 5mm.

It possesses a sub-zoomorphic terminal decorated with two rows of triangular grooves. The upper surface of the body of the strap end is decorated with pairs of opposing semi-circular incisions with a triangular groove between. The split attachment end is broken. The underside of the strap end is plain. It measures 31mm in length and a maximum of 12mm in width.

The upper surface of the body of the strap end possesses a rectangular decorative panel with a grooved ?foliate pattern. The grooves are filled with silver or niello. Above this panel is a further semi-circular grooved pattern with lines radiating from it. At the attachment end the strap end splits in two and possesses two circular perforations. The strap end measures 44m in length, has a maximum width of 12mm and a thickness of 6mm.

A copper alloy Roman Colchester two piece brooch dating to the late first century AD. The wings are plain, rectangular in plan and semi-circular in section. The brooch possesses a D section tapering bow. The bow has a central longitudinal knurled rib which is very prominent towards the head but disappears towards the foot. The foot is marked out by three horizontal grooves and terminates in a small forward facing foot knob. The catchplate is triangular with a semi-circular perforation. The brooch measures ??mm in length and a maximum of ??mm in width.
