A silver denarius of Hadrian, AD117-138. Mint is Rome, AD132-134, (Reece period 6). Reverse legend reads TRANQVILLI-TAS AVG PP. Reverse shows Tranquillitas standing left holding sceptre and leaning on column. See RIC II, p.365, no.223. Obverse shows laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right. Obverse legend reads HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS. Reverse fields and exergue read: / //(COS III). Condition is very fine, die axis is 6 o'clock, weight is 3.10g, diameter is 18.78mm.
