Eleven bronze objects were discovered by the finder on 4th January 2006 using a metal detector on arable land. These objects (catalogue nos. 48-58) were removed by the finder and the landowner, but other visible objects were left in situ. Five of the axe heads are socketed axes and one is a relatively rare example of a late palstave from a Ewart Park hoard (although other examples are known from East Yorkshire, see discussion, below).
