Roman silver coin; a plated denarius of the Civil Wars period, AD 68-9 (Reece Period 3), prototype from a Spanish mint and with the bust of probably Genius on the obverse, a cornucopia behind the bust. There is no legend visible on the obverse but it originally read GENIO PR. The reverse depicts Mars, naked except for a helmet right, holding javelin and a round shield, with MARTI VLTORI.
