Circular lead alloy weight or possible gaming piece of probable post-medieval date (c. 1600-1800AD). The object is crudely decorated on one side with what appears to be a figure 8 covered with apparent random stab or peck marks.  The reverse of the object is plain.  There is some post-depositional damage on part of the upper edge of the object, which has a powdery white patina. A fragment of a cast late Bronze Age copper alloy socketed axehead, dating to c.900-700 BC. The fragment consists of the axehead's cutting edge only, the rest of the object is missing. The cutting edge is worn and an abraded break reveals a shallow portion of the socket that is c.6mm deep. The axehead fragment is sub-trapezoidal in plan. The broken edge of the axehead runs transversely across its body giving an irregular, but mostly flat, edge. In cross section the body is sub-rectangular, as revealed by the break, while the blade is vesica (a pointed oval) shaped. …

An incomplete Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative Polden Hill brooch (Mackreth 2011, 4l, Oddments No. 2059, Plate 48) dating c120-240AD. The weight has a flat circular base and rounded top with a central circular perforation running part way through it. The surface of the weight is undecorated. Two joining fragments of an incomplete middle bronze age spearhead dating c. 1500-1000 BC.  The spearhead  is sub-triangular in shape and tapers to a pointed tip; the base is broken.  There is a strong and solid lozenge shaped midrib, suggesting it came from either a a side looped or basal looped form. There is some chipping of the tip and edges, but the majority of the object’s surface is smooth with a dark brown patina. It comprises a D-shaped loop and although worn, appears to have zoomorphic terminals where it meets the ring.  There are traces of a corroded iron pin surviving in the circular opening. Fragment of a copper alloy object, most likely at medieval D shaped buckle frame dating c1450-1550AD.  The fragment is sub-triangular in section and curved in plan.  On the outer edge of the loop there is an engraved or incised zig-zag line.  On the inside edge of the loop a series of vertical parallel groves. There is a small worn indentation on the inside edge which could have been caused by the tip of the pin.  The fragment has a powdery green patina.
