Copper alloy wheel from a Post-medieval pastry jigger (pastry cutter) dating 1700 to 1800 AD. The wheel is circular with a crimped outer edge and a central perforation. Due to the crimped edge, rolling it over pastry dough would have resulted in a rolled zig-zag line.The diameter is 19mm and the weight 9.22g. Similar to DEV-F49217, DEV-551F52 (bracket/handle), PUBLIC-F0BC67, IOW-610522, HAMP-709713, DEV-E428B8 and LANCUM-FC21F4.

Cast copper alloy purse bar dating from the late medieval or early post-medieval period, that is c. AD1450-1550. Ward Perkins Class A1. What remains of the purse frame is only the bar; the lower part of the frame and purse have broken off. The horizontal bar, however, is nearly complete with only the separate suspension loop missing. The bar is circular in cross-section and is decorated with what looks like a double strand lattice flanked to either end with a single groove. Probably a post medieval copper alloy mount with an attached pyramidal spike. This could have been either decorative or the means by which the object was affixed, perhaps by hammering in. There are no distinguishing features to the rest of the artefact. Hard to date but probably sometime in the period c1500 to c1950 AD. The length is 27mm, the width is 18mm, and the weight 3.89g.

Post Medieval copper alloy buckle fragment. What remains is most of the loop but there is nothing left of the strap bar. Probably from a sub 'D' shaped buckle but possibly from a 'vessica' or double looped type. The buckle has trilobed moulding on the upper outer edge, with a deep groove in the centre of each lobe. The central groove probably served as a tongue/pin rest. Dates to between c1500 and c1650 AD. The length is 24mm, the width is 20mm, and the weight 2.64g.

Post Medieval copper alloy sub 'D' shaped buckle. The buckle is only decorated on one side and both sides have remnants of a coating probably gilding. The shoulders and apex of the bow have been accentuated to form pointed knops, each bracketed by smaller knops. The one on the apex has three impressed grooves, the central one probably intended as a tongue/pin rest. One side of the frame is absent. Dates to between c1500 and c1650 AD. The length is 39mm, the width is 36mm, and the weight 11.37g.

A fragment of a copper-alloy bridle fitting or harness link of Early-Medieval date. The fragment is a terminal which is lozenge shaped with a central oval perforations and projecting globular knops on each of the exterior corners. Which extends to a rectangular shaft that is D-shaped in section with flat back and rounded front face. The length is 34mm, the width is 27mm and the weight 6.39g. Similar examples are recorded through the Portable Antiquities Scheme (see for example SF-C06A13, SF-F8CCA3, SF-F8B0A2, SF-D91911, SF-ADC0F3SF-DE96A5, SF-457AB1, WMID-6AAED1).

A copper-alloy pin, dating from the Roman period. The pin has been cast in one piece and is complete, although the shaft has become distorted. The head is of circular section, with a vertical outer face and convex upper surface. Two grooves have been incised at the top of the circular-sectioned shaft, which tapers to a point. This is a common form of Roman pin, close parallels being nos. 214 and 215 from excavations at Baldock, Hertfordshire (Stead and Rigby 1986: fig. 54).
