A cast copper-alloy stirrup-strap mount. It is a sub-rectangular shape in plan, however the upper edge is broken and may have a central incomplete rivet hole. The sides are moulded with a pair of integral knops protruding at the lower corners. The broken upper edge is not a recent break. The outer face is decorated with a high-relief simplistic animal who is missing their head due to the break. The lower edge has two rivet holes. An cast copper alloy double looped sub-oval buckle frame. At the apex of the loops there is a moulded rose as decoration. The strap bar is narrowed and triangular in section. The terminal of the strap bar has moulded decoration in the form of a sub-lozenge. The reverse of the frame is flat and undecorated. The pin is missing. The surface of the frame has a dark green patina. The buckle measures 40.14mm long from and 28.7mm wide. It weighs 5.2g. A copper-alloy dagger chape from a scabbard of probable late medieval to early post-medieval date. The chape is small and sub-triangular in shape, terminating in a cast knop at the bottom. The back is formed from a plate of cut copper-alloy, soldered onto the moulded front. This back plate has been pushed inwards, closing the gap between the two plates. From the top of the front plate there is a projecting point, which would have run a small way up the scabbard. Aside from this and the knop at the bottom the chape is plain and unadorned.
