A wheel made ceramic body sherd of an unknown vessel. The fabric is slightly soft, with a reduced grey core and oxidised orange surfaces. The exterior has a red/brown coloured slip applied and appears to have been burnished. Other decoration includes a row of rouletting. The sherd weighs 3.6g. An abraded body sherd of a ceramic wheel made vessel. The fabric has occassional white gritty inclusions which may be limestone and red/brown inclusions which may be grog. The core is a light grey colour, the exterior is a dark orange and the interior is a light buff colour. It weighs 5.34g. The sherd probably dates to the Roman or Medieval period.

A body fragment of a Samian ware vessel. The exterior is decorated with a row of ‘egg-and-tongue’ (ovolo) pattern with a fragment of an oval border. With a beaded line between. The surfaces have a shiny dark red/orange surface and the fabric is a fine orange colour. The ovolo decoration is found on Samian Ware Forms 30 and 37 which are a type of deep dish. This decoration dates the vessel to c. 69 to 110 AD.

A body fragment of a Samian ware vessel. The exterior is decorated with a galloping horse, only the head, torso and front legs are visible. The surface has a shiny dark red/orange surface at the base and becomes a dark brown towards the upper edge. The fabric is a fine orange colour. It weighs 11.1g. Samian Ware dates to the 1st to mid 3rd century.

Eleven heavily abraded sherds of a Severn Valley Ware vessels. The fabric has a light grey core and orange coloured surfaces. The fabric is quite soft with powdery surfaces. Together the sherds weigh 72.2g. If the fabric is Severn Valley Ware, the sherds will date to the 1st to 4th centuries. 19 ceramic body sherds from the same location, probably all medieval, circa 1200 - 1400 AD in date. At least three or four different fabrics are represented so the sherds do not relate to the same vessel. Four of the sherds have a dark grey exterior with a grey to brown interior and a deep red core. These have a smooth texture with few inclusions. Two fragments of a ceramic crucible. The fabric is a white ware with no obvious inclusions and is highly fired, but is still able to be scratched. The exterior appears to have fine linear grooves which may be decoration or part of the manufacturing process. On the interior of each sherd there is traces of a copper alloy adhered to it. The copper alloy has traces of red copper corrosion and has a 'bubbled' surface. The two sherds together weigh 5.5g. The date of the sherds are uncertain, but probably date to the Medieval or Post Medieval period.
