possible cast lead or lead alloy cloth seal. The seal is probably made from two discs, but it does not have the corresponding joining stud and perforation as is usual. A cast copper-alloy spur rowel. The rowel is in the shape of a five-pointed star. The arms are rectangular with rounded corners and edges. There is central circular perforation through the centre of the rowel through which the rivet attaching it to the spur would have travelled. The rowel has a mottled green matte patina which is slightly abraded. It measures 37.39mm diameter, is 2.87mm thick, and weighs 7.1g. As the rowel is undecorated there are no diagnostic features to give it a narrow date, therefore it can only be dated the late Medieval to Post Medieval periods.
