A complete pair of copper-alloy tweezers dating from Roman to Medieval in date, circa AD 43 - 1500. The tweezers are enclosed around a solid mass of iron corrosion.  The tweezers are made from a single strip of copper alloy, folded over. Both arms of the tweezers are broadly parallel with one arm being flat and the other with a curve towards the other arm. The end terminals are blunt. The object is spherical in form with a central drill hole running throughout. there are a few light scratches on the outer surface and no other distinguishing marks. Comparable examples recorded on the PAS database range in date from the Roman period through to the Post Medieval period.
