A fragment of cast copper-alloy Roman finger ring dating to AD 200-300. Just under half of the finger ring survives with only the bezel and shoulders remaining and most of the the hoop is missing. The breaks of the hoop/shoulders are not recent. The bezel is oval in shape with a degraded lip around the edge to hold an enamel or an intaglio in place. The shoulders are slightly flared next to the bezel and then narrow along the remains of the hoop and end in abrupt breaks. A cast copper alloy finger ring, which is gilded in places, and 19.85mm in diameter. The bezel comprises a slightly domed facet, 8.04mm wide, which has two faceted shoulders, approximately 1mm wide. The bezel has the remains of guilding.Either side of the shoulders of the bezel are moulded inserts, sub-ovoid in shape, one of which houses a dark shiny insert, possibly enamel. The other insert is missing.The hoop tapers to 1.61mm deep at the bottom, compared to 5.25mm at the bezel. Where the rings guilding has worn away, the ring has a dark brown patina.

An incomplete copper alloy British plate brooch (type 6g), of Roman date.  The brooch is circular in shape with a rectangular protrusion extending from the top which contains the remains of the hinge on the reverse. The front is decorated with a raised rim and within are four lobed petals, forming a flower symbol. Within the centre of the petals is a circular groove and then a central pellet. A fragment of a silver button of Modern dating (AD 1800 - onwards). The fragment is broadly oval in plan and has a central circular dimple and eight incised radiating lines, creating eight triangular segments. The outer face is convex. The inner face is concave and also has a central circular dimple, but the rest of the surface is smooth.  Measurements: length 12mm, width 10.5mm, thickness 3.2mm, weight 1.2 grams. As this object is under 300 years old, it therefore falls outside the remit of the Treasure Act 1996.

Possibly a copper-alloy fragment from a Great square-headed brooch of Early Medieval date.  The fragment consists of part of the centre of the head plate. On the reverse are two semi-circular integral attachement lugs that are parallel to each other. In between the lugs is orange corrosive material, suggesting the attachement pin was iron.
