SHAPE: Oval. DECORATION: Gilded edges consisting of a ridge and a series of small triangles. Centre is indented, oval shape where the glass boss should be. Instead fragments of very dark green/brown glass, and a particle of clear glass. REVERSE: Traces of tinning. The catchplate is incomplete, the pin missing, and the spring is broken.

A copper alloy corroded and encrusted figurine of Mars. He wears a helmet with a tall plume and the dress of a Roman soldier with a skirt has pleats.. The arms are both missing. The details are difficult to see due to nature of corrosion. On the back of the legs is a fragment of charcoal. It is possible the figure was burnt in antiquity. This may account for its condition.

A Figurehead of a possibly Roman goddess. The figure is cast around an iron rod which is 3.2mm diam. and 47.7mm long. The figure starts 13mm from the top of the rod. The figure has a dome-shaped item on her head. The detail is worn and corroded. The figure has clothing draped around her neck and behind her head. Length of head is 33mm x 14.9mm wide. Could be a dagger/knife terminal.

A decorative pendant made up of six `orange` segments, one is missing. The segments are evenly spaced, at the top is a suspension loop with is a ribbed loop. The segments at the base are fixed by a small flat ring. The segments are decorated alternatively with `8` designs and the other a loop, winding line decoration. Unsure whether the item was cast and if the decoration is filigree.

Wings are tubular, back of the wings is flat. The bow is very arched and decoration consists of 3 circles in a line, with a concentric ring inside. Between the rinds are `twirls` and smaller rings. On each edge of the bow are three cuboid protrusions. The bow foot knop kicks forward. On the reverse of the bow are three circular marks. Appear to be studs that are part of the central ring of the main design. Either end of the bow is horizontally ribbed. Catch-plate is broken, and has a circular hole. The brooch has been tinned/silvered, much remains. Iron corrosion at the tip of a wing.

Wheel from a post-medieval pastry jigger (pastry cutter). It is an openwork circular ring with three spokes flaring into a triangular central hub in which is a circular perforation for the axle of the jigger. The outer edge of the ring is shaped into small convex scallops. 26.5mm in diameter. Compare PUBLIC-589432 and BERK-6EB892. Probably 18th century.
