A  large copper alloy fragment, possibly from a church bell, dating to the Medieval to Post Medieval period (AD 1400-1800). The fragment is irregular in plan and cross section. Each side of the fragment has a worn and broken edge. The fragment has a convex outer face which is plain and undecorated. The inner face is concave and has a central moulded rib and a triple moulded edge.  The fragment is mid-green / brown in colour with a mottled surface patina.  It measures 78.7mm in length, 75.1mm in width and has a thickness of 17.6mm. It weighs 387.2 grams.

The strap distributor is of an openwork design with a rectangular loop to either side and two joining crescents in the middle. No enamel is visible. It measures 40.5 mm in length, is 32.3 mm wide and a maximum of 7.0 mm thick. It weighs 15.7 g. The strap distributor is a dark green colour with an even surface patina. Description: A gilded silver fragment of a cast object, possibly a bow brooch. The fragment comprises a jagged plate-like piece which slopes lightly downwards from a central ridge. The ridge is plain silver, is grooved and flares slightly at each end.
