The surviving section of the Fob seal consists of the seal itself, with the rest of the body of the object not remaining. An incomplete, non-heraldic lead seal matrix of Medieval date (c. AD 1200-1400). It is circular in plan, with the remnants of a suspension loop on the reverse. The central design is very worn and seems to depict a fleur-de-lis. The inscription starts with a cross at 12 o'clock and appears to read "S' IOHIS DEL LINO". This would translate as "Seal of John".

A complete gold seal matrix dating to the Post Medieval to Early Modern period (c. AD 1750-1900). The object has a heptagonal handle with an integral suspension loop at the apex. The handle has evenly spaced longitudinal channels running from a collar below the suspension loop down the handle to just above the matrix setting. A rounded knop crowns the suspension loop. The seal matrix itself is made of a black stone with the initials DE in black script in the centre of the matrix. The object is circular in plan with a compass-drawn sexfoil on the reverse and a five-armed spiral in the centre of the obverse. The legend appears to read: + S MD ARn' DE [...] ArEl', thus making it a personal, non-heraldic seal. The object has a light grey patina and an attachment knop at the apex of the reverse. The overall dimensions are as follows: 24.85mm in diameter, 6.28mm in thickness and 11.85g in weight.
