An almost complete silver Double Patard of Charles I 'the Bold' of Burgundy (AD 1467-1477) and dating AD 1467-1477. Obverse description: Shield with the arms of Burgundy. Obverse inscription: + KAROLVS DEI [GRA] DV[X] [BVRG] [CO] [FLA] (double annulet stops). Reverse description: Cross fleuretty with lis in central lozenge. Reverse inscription: [SIT] [NOMEN] DOM[IN]I [B]ENEDI[CTVM]. Diameter: 24.62mm. Thickness: 0.61mm. Die axis: 1.

The legends are abbreviated and read as KAROLVS:DEI:GRA:DVX:BG:BRAB:ZLIN:FLA (translating as 'Charles, by the grace of God Duke of Burgundy, Limburg and Flanders'), while the reverse reads SIT:NOMEN:DOMINI:BENEDICTVM (translating as 'May the Name of the Lord be Blessed') (Taken from BERK-0D943E).
