An incomplete copper alloy pipe tamper ring of Post Medieval to Modern date (c. AD 1600-1900). The object consists of a cast finger ring with an integral knopped projection at the bottom and a sub-oval bezel. The bezel is 12.85mm wide and 14.48mm long and has no surviving decoration on it. The spring, pin, catch plate, foot, most of the bow, part of the wings, and part of the wing caps are missing. The head is 20.89 including the semi-cylindrical wings. The wings terminated in either circular or oval wing caps, though much of both wing caps are now missing, with more of the right-hand wing cap surviving than the left-hand wing cap. A fragment of cast copper-alloy Roman finger ring dating to AD 200-300. Just under half of the finger ring survives with only the bezel and shoulders remaining and most of the the hoop is missing. The breaks of the hoop/shoulders are not recent. The bezel is oval in shape with a degraded lip around the edge to hold an enamel or an intaglio in place. The shoulders are slightly flared next to the bezel and then narrow along the remains of the hoop and end in abrupt breaks. A cast copper alloy finger ring, which is gilded in places, and 19.85mm in diameter. The bezel comprises a slightly domed facet, 8.04mm wide, which has two faceted shoulders, approximately 1mm wide. The bezel has the remains of guilding.Either side of the shoulders of the bezel are moulded inserts, sub-ovoid in shape, one of which houses a dark shiny insert, possibly enamel. The other insert is missing.The hoop tapers to 1.61mm deep at the bottom, compared to 5.25mm at the bezel. Where the rings guilding has worn away, the ring has a dark brown patina.

A total of 25 copper alloy Roman hobnails and tacks. The nails are of varying sizes, with broadly circular sectioned shanks and pointed domed heads. The largest weighs 1.26 grams and measures 15.6 mm in length, 9.9 mm in width and 7.1 mm in thickness. There are three smaller ones which are incomplete. The smallest weighing 0.15 grams. Of the smallest complete nail, it measures 9.4 mm in length, 8.8 mm in width, 5.5 mm in thickness. It weighs 0.56 grams.
