The upper surface of each terminal has an off-set triangular platform. In the centre of the mount is a high-relief rectangular platform with an oval perforation either side. The reverse is hollow beneath each platform and has three incomplete broken oval sectioned studs. A copper-alloy strap fitting: a strap mount or horse harness decoration. The mount is a sub-oval in plan with three knops at each terminal. The central knop extends to form an integral oval sectioned stud. Both studs are broken, but not recently. The upper surface of the mount is corroded. The reverse has a developed dark green shiny patina. The mount measures 24.67mm long, and 13.51mm wide. The weight is 3.2g. The mount probably dates to the 16th or 17th centuries.

The strap fitting is circular in plan, but due to soil pressure, is now displaying a lateral warping. It was probably originally flat or slightly domed. In cross section, it is D shaped. The top of the loop still retains the remains of the iron attachment hook. A cast copper-alloy strap loop of some sort, almost certainly of late Iron Age to very early Roman in date, from circa 120 BC to AD 50. The loop is oval in plan and the sides are waisted, so that the sides flare outwards on the outside of the loop to a ridge at the top and bottom. The outside of the loop is decorated with triangular cells arranged in an 'hour glass' motif, with the points of the triangle facing one another. An incomplete cast copper alloy two-part swivelling strap fitting of Medieval date. The receiving component is missing, the other component comprises a loop with a rounded D shaped aperture. Either side of the aperture has raised borders and incisions possibly depicting animal heads. They appear to be gripping a linking bar which forms the outer part of the frame. A prominent collar forms the junction between the loop and the cone; the latter has been left plain. The strap fitting is 27.65mm in length, 18.8mm wide, 6.8mm thick and weighs 5.0 grams.
