The outside of the loop is decorated with triangular cells arranged in an 'hour glass' motif, with the points of the triangle facing one another. These 'hour glass' motifs alternate between a horizontal and vertical arrangement around the loop and the cells were almost certainly originally filled with enamel…

On the centre of these two faces there is a square indentation. The indentation the lower tapered face is 6mm sq. whereas the upper one is 4.9mm sq. The mount portrays a standing figure wearing long drapery and a possible mitre. Being held in the figures' left hand is a possible crosier. The possible crosier is a slender shaft which terminates at the top with an expanded hook. The right arm is held up, but maybe incomplete as it appears to be very small. On the right-hand side of the figure there are smaller, seated figures, possibly children, these have no detail. The reverse of the mount has a single, central, circular sectioned spike which is curled forming a 'J' shape. The mount has a brown patination.

The terminal is a zoomorphic style, possibly representing the face of a dog. The terminal is oval in section, and this generally applies its length. The 'nose' of the terminal is the side face, and is oval shaped and undecorated. In the centre is a circular protrusion, which appears to be a separate rivet head. The eyes are slightly indented and are formed by low relief triangles. The mouth is formed by a horizontal notch which appears on one side only. The ears are set back from the face and are obliquely angled dome-like pointed oval shapes with a central linear groove. The width of…
