Copper alloy fitting, Medieval, in the form of a hook, one end of which terminates in a wolf's head, at the other end is a thin, curved plate, expanding to 8.2mm wide. The wolf's head is carefully modelled with a long muzzle, the mouth being marked by a groove, the eyes are large, round projections and the ears formed by cutting back the top of the head. The nape of the neck is marked by a transverse groove and there are three further grooves on each side of the head. Length 45.2mm, Width 20.0mm, Thickness 6.8mm, Mass 11.85g. Copper alloy, Medieval pendant loop, stirrup-shaped with a flattened, D shaped section, on the curved of the loop is a projecting knob around which is a pronounced moulding. In London, similar loops have been found in contexts dated to c. 1270-1400 (Egan and Pritchard 1991, Fig. 138)

Medieval (1100-1500) probable fragment of a swivel strap fitting or junction: The copper alloy object is a swivel fitting to which two straps were are connected. The fragment is an incomplete frame which has a thickened edge which has a perforation through it. Through the perforation there is an iron shaft which is corroded. The arms of the frame are incomplete and broken, but not recently. The surface of the copper alloy frame is abraded and the iron is slightly corroded. The swivel fitting weighs 5.5g and measures 22.43mm long, 19.94mm wide and 9.83mm thick. Such swivels were used…

Medieval (c.1230-1350) strap fitting: The copper alloy pendent loop from a bar mount is a single loop sub-oval with a slightly off-set strap bar which is broken. There is an expanded bar opposite the strap bar. This bar has a fine ridge at either side with a fine central groove. The surface of the buckle frame has an abraded mid green surface. It measures 14.31mm in length, 16.63mm wide and weighs 2.02g. A complete Post-Medieval copper-alloy mount or stud, dating to circa AD 1500-1700. The head is convex and is broadly circular in plan, it has a moulded design representing a flower head. It has a central pellet with six evenly spaced ribs emanating to the outer edges. The reverse is concave. At the centre of the reverse is a tapering shank which is square in cross-section at the base and tapers to a point. The object has mid green coloured patina across all surfaces.
