A complete lead shot dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1600-1800). The object is spherical in form with the remains of a casting sprue on one edge. The object is covered in pits and scratches and has a light grey patina.  As stated by Leahy and Lewis (2018: 345), it is important to accurately record the exact location of lead shots or musket balls and cannon balls, because they can 'reveal the course of a battle or even tell us where an action took place.' Overall dimensions: 10mm in diameter and 5.4g in weight.

This would likely mean this is the bullet from a miniature pistol, potentially one meant for the use by women at close range. One of the surfaces of the bullet is relatively flat, with a slight lip around part of the edge of the flat section. This could be damage from gases escaping the barrel whilst firing or from hitting a target.
