A probable knapped flint rod. The rod is formed from a long flake. The rod is an elongated rectangle with rounded edges in plan and has a bi-convex section. The rod weighs 2.6g and measures 34.32mm long and 11.12mm wide.
The rod is probably early Neolithic (-3500 to -2900). Butler (Butler, C. 2005 Prehistoric Flintwork Tempus) illustrates a similar rod, Figure 56, no. 4 and comments that the function is unknown.
