Late Roman tubular nail-cleaner. The copper alloy nail cleaner is probably incomplete, but consists of circular sectioned handle which is decorated with wide cross-hatching. The upper end is narrowed and undecorated with a broken upper edge. Below the handle ther nail cleaner gradually becomes oval in section and tapering in depth. It is undecorated and the terminal splits into a V-shape with a groove that travels vertically for a short while.
The surface of the nail cleaner has a mottled dark green abraded patina.

A possible cast copper alloy nail cleaner with high shoulders. In plan the upper portion is sub-circular with an oval shaped perforation. The perforation is shaped due to wear rather than intention. The body of the nail cleaner continues below the circular perforation with an integral elongated triangular. The upper portion is flat in plan, but the lower portion is very narrow and becomes more thick. The terminal is a blunt edge. In profile the cleaner is bent at the approximate mid point. The item has a leaf shaped blade which at the tip forks. Leading to the fork is a short deep triangular groove as decoration. The edges of the item on one side have incised notches. In the centre of the item is a single ring and dot as decoration. Towards the upper edge on the side edges there are four small incomplete protrusions which may have formed two lugs either side of the item. At the top of the item is a loop with a circular within an oval frame. Below the loop is a short shaft of circular mouldings. Leaf-shaped blade which tapers sharply. The terminal forks with one fork missing.

A fragment of a straight-sided nail-cleaner with varying decoration (Group).The shaft is rectangular in section. Narrows slightly in width, and then flares towards the division, which is broken. The upper portion of the shaft is decoratively moulded with a hatched design divided by a narrow band. The suspension loop remains.
