A complete harness pendant dating to the Medieval period (c.AD 1200-1400). The object is made up of a sexfoil pendant, suspended within an outer pendant. The outer pendant is also a sexfoil with narrow, rounded arches and a flat reverse. At the top of the outer pendant projects the suspension loop. A copper alloy Roman harness pendant dating to c. AD 100-300. The object has a cast heart-shaped plate with its cleft occupied by an oval suspension loop that is at right angles to its display plane. Either side of the suspension loop, there are incised nicks that are angled towards each other. The base of the 'heart' section leads to a phallic member with a discoid, elongated glans.
