A near complete, lead Medieval Papal bulla issued under Pope Honorius III (AD 1216-1227).
On the obverse is an inscription reading "HONO/RIVS/•P•P•III•" with an omega above the "P•P", all within a pelleted circular border. The "P•P" either stands for Papa Patria (Priest of Rome) or Pastor Pastorum (shepherd of shepherds). A complete lead papal bull of Pope Clement VI, whose papacy lasted from c. AD 1341 - 1352.
The bull is a cast lead oval seal which has decoration on both faces. The obverse(recta) depicts the faces of St Peter and St Paul below the inscription SPASPE (SPA = Sanctus Paulus, SPE = Sanctus Petrus), with a cross between the faces. A complete lead papal bulla of Martin IV dating to the Medieval period (AD 1281-85). The obverse is cast with MAR//TINVS//.PP.IIII. in relief, with an omega above the 'P's. This face has a near vertical crack running through the centre. The reverse is more worn but it is possible to see the depictions of St Peter on the right looking left and St Paul on the left looking right. A medieval cast lead papal bulla issued by Pope Gregory X (1271-6). The obverse reads GRE/GORIVS/PP [X]. on the reverse are busts of Saints Peter and Paul, each in a pelleted frame, and the legend SPASPE.
On the obverse two thinly inscribed horizontal lines have been added with a sharp instrument to the top line, which reads GRE. Across the lower line is a band of faint curvilinear lines made with a blunt-tipped instrument. These give a slight appearance of lettering though this seems unlikely to be the case.

An abraded cast lead or lead alloy circular papal bulla. The front (recta) face of the bulla depicts the faces of Saints Peter and Paul with a cross between them. 'SPASPE' is written above the busts which is an abbreviation for St. Paul St. This face of the bulla is particularly abraded.
The reverse (verso) face of the bulla shows the name of the Pope, which is written in the nominative, with his abbreviated title (PP: Pastor Pastorum - Shepard of the Shepards) and ordinal number; 'BONI / [ ]ATSUS / P P VIIII'.

The papal bull is circular in plan with a design on either face. There appears to have originally been a vertical void running through the length of the papal bull. On face has two busts with a cruciform cross between. Each bust is bordered a pellet border. Above the bust 'SPASPE' is visible. All the design and lettering is in high relief. The papal bull is sub-circular in plan with a small hole, 3.52mm diameter, in the centre. One face has a high relief pellet border with the incription 'GRE / GO[ ]VS / ·PP·X·' Above the PP there is an omega symbol. On the other face there are two portraits within a pellet border. Above the portraits the inscription reads SPASPE.

The obverse reads 'SPASE' which surmounts a cross with an effigy representing St. Peter on the left and St. Paul on the right. A beaded border surrounds the flan and similar beadwork encloses each portrait. The reverse reads 'IOHA / NNES / PP:XXII' within a beaded border. The papal bull has been folded in the centre and then re-opened recently.
