A cast copper-alloy Roman bow brooch fragment, probably of 'initial' T shaped type. The brooch is incomplete and in fairly poor conditin, missing its pin and the lower part of its bow. The brooch is hinged, with the pin mechanism secured within closed cylindrical wings. The head of the brooch rises dramatically above the wings and begins to curve steeply towards the break on the bow. The top of the bow has a moulded rib running down it. The brooch measures 14.54 mm long, 16.29 mm wide, 7.78 mm thick and weighs 2.1 grams. It has a dark green patina, brown in places. The brooch probably…
