A lead alloy spindle whorl, of Roman to Post Medieval circa (AD 43 - 1650). In plan the spindle whorl is circular. There is a circular perforation which measures 7.1 mm in diameter which is located in the centre of the whorl. Both faces of the object are flat and are un-decorated. The surfaces of the spindle whorl are a light cream colour. The object surfaces have been worn and slightly abraded. The object is in the form of a clock or watch with a glass face and numbers and hands, in relief, moulded in glass and set behind a glass face. An incomplete copper alloy (pewter) serving spoon dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1500-1800). The remains of the spoon consist of the oval-shaped bowl and the start of the stem. The edges of the bowl are chipped and the stem terminates in a worn break shortly after is tapers away from the bowl. The object is dark grey in colour and shows signs of corrosion inside the bowl. A comparable example recorded on the PAS database is WILT-D3AD97. The overall dimensions are as follows: 86.32mm in length, 44.47mm in width, 4.15mm in thickness and 29.93g in weight.
