A complete flint debitage flake of the Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age period, dating from c. BC 3000 - BC 1500.
The object is broadly leaf shape in plan and triangular in section. There are the remains of a pronounced bulb of percussion at the proximal end of the ventral face, with evidence of shallow concoidal ripple marks. There appears to be evidence of short, parallel, abrupt retouch on the right edge towards the distal end. On the dorsal face around 25% of the cortex remains. There is evidence of long, parallel, semi abrupt retouch on the left side towards the proximal end. O…

Approximately 75% of the arrowhead is present, with one of the barbs missing. The arrowhead has been knapped from a dark grey coloured piece of flint. It is broadly sub-triangular in shape and lentoid in cross section. The tang is damaged and the surviving barb is rounded. Both long sides / edges of the arrowhead have been finely retouched to create sharp edges. The arrowhead has been bifacially worked with invasive, scaled, and low angle retouch.

Three possibly knapped flint flakes or debitage. The debitage have all have fire-fractured surfaces. Two have a white-blue patina whereas the third has a heavy patination with recent damage revealing the dark grey flint. The surface is crazed from fire, but not to the extent of the first two. They have negative scars from knapping. Together they weigh 39.06g.
The flakes are possibly dated to the Neolithic to Bronze Age periods ( (c. -3500 to c. -1500). The fire-fracturing may have occurred recently or in prehistory. If it occurred in prehistory there are different theories as to wh…

The core measures 30.42mm long, 31.56mm wide, is 24.49mm thick and weighs 28.47g.
The core dates to the Mesolithic period, based on the small blade scars.

Due to the incompleteness of this object it is difficult to further specify a period of production.
