Record ID: WMID352
Object type: PENDANT
Broad period: ROMAN
County: Worcestershire
Workflow stage: Published Find published
The shape of the item is cylindrical with wide circular caps at each end. The item narrows and expands in the centre. It looks like two hammer heads back-to-back. A loop is incorporated into the centre of the cylinder. The item, therefore hangs horizontally. This maybe a votive item or a fastening, like a button. As a fastening the item could be too delicate compared to other fastening of the Roman period. The patina is a light green colour. Probably Roman.
